How care.coach Stopped Being Mistaken for “Just a Tablet”

The client challenge

care.coach is a healthtech company supporting older adults with 24/7 companionship, health coaching, and connection, delivered through a simple tablet experience backed by real humans.

Their biggest marketing problem was not "we need prettier visuals" (although, they were in the midst of a huge brand refresh, and needed to level up their presence).

It was positioning.

Prospects kept mentally sorting care.coach into the wrong category: a device, an Alexa alternative, or "just another tablet." That misunderstanding created price resistance, longer sales cycles, and constant over explaining. Meanwhile, their strongest differentiator, real human support behind the avatar, was getting buried.

They needed video that made the service instantly click, emotionally and logically, without sounding like a sales pitch.

Instead of leading with features, we led with the moment that triggers purchase: a family member realizing their parent needs support, but they cannot be there all the time. From there, we crafted a brand film concept ("Be There From Anywhere") that shows care.coach as what it actually is: a human service delivered through a simple interface.

We paired that with a clearer explainer that grounds the three core pillars (companionship, coaching, connection) and visually demonstrates ease of use, video visits, reminders, and fall prevention, without getting technical.

Alongside the videos, we supported a broader brand update so their website and visual system matched the trust level required in healthcare.
